So like, for my school they're letting the 8th graders sign up to run for our town festival's king and queen, and I decided to run for king cuz I wanted to represent the trans community and I wanted to run anyway. I never knew how many transphobics were in my grade until now.

Like, one of my teachers was asking the dudes in my class if they were running for king, and I told her I was running for king. Then she said, "I was asking the guys." then I told her I was running for king and she said "But you're a girl..?" Like ????

Then there's some guys that are making fun of my new name and stuff. One of them was asking me stuff like, "Do you have a p*nis?" and like bro stfu I'm seriously uncomfortable rn thanks. Same guy was making fun of me to his friends about me not even" dressing like a dude *vomit noises*"

Some of the girls that were running for queen originally dropped out of running since "I was going to win king". I'm honestly kinda hurt form that, but I'm still taking it as a compliment cuz they're saying I'm gonna win

I hate my school now. Yeah, there's some kids in my grade who call me by my new name and pronouns and such, but the rest of them are being complete jerks about it to me. Even the teacher's s*xist like cmon.

I honestly dont care if I win or not, I just wanna try yk? But I'm just owrried that people are going to make fun of me and stuff if I don't win and say stuff like "See? You're a girl! That's why you didn't win king!" yk?

My mom and my aunts support me for doing this, but my dad doesn't know and idk what to think of him. He was severely transphobic before he started dating his girlfriend, and now he supports it suddenly because she has a trans son like idk if he really supports it or not? And if I did win I'd have to tell him that I won for KING and I'd probably have to come out to him like ummmm???

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I just wanted to get this off of my chest. I know my grammar and stuff might of been a bit weird, but I was sorta "In the zone" yk?
