Tips on falling asleep?

SimpingForNoOne 8/17/2022 08:23 am 265

I need to get a better sleep schedule since school starts soon, but I can't sleep. Does anyone have any things that help them fall asleep? Thank you so much if you give suggestions! 513b55c6de216_kao_happy.gif

put the phone away before bed so your not tempted to stay up the whole night and try to clear your head, maybe write down your stress in a journal or read a book

white noises help, silence kinda leaves u alone with ur thoughts but quiet tv background noise, fan buzzing, quiet music with timer. complete darkness helps unless ur scared ofthe dark, having necessities finished like thirst, hunger, restroom etc so u dont need get up. if ur tossing n turning get up and do sum like draw or read or write to help restlessnessbeating heart

heat and being warm helps you go to sleep, so taking a steamy bath/shower should make you sleepy and being warm under the covers when you do get in bed should help. try to reduce screentime before bed because thats proven to inhibit sleep

i've heard that the smell of lavender works wonders getting people to sleep, so maybe investing in essential oils or lotion with that smell could help, but personally, i've never tried it. other than that, taking melatonin or another sleeping pill could help a lot.
