Coincidentally I just made one the other day, I wish I could help but I'm really bad at explaining things kao cry I'm sure you could find a tutorial somewhere tho!! But honestly the best way I can think of explaining it is basically doing a panel with multi stitch but like kinda sideways for whatever your design is?? Idk, that probably doesn't make sense I'm sorry-

Tying it off is a bit tricky, I had to take the string back through the panel to tie it to the other end, you can kinda see it on the side but at least it's tied off w15 (I didn't follow any tutorials btw, I just tried to figure it all out myself so this is probably the wrong way)

there are tutorials on how to do peyote stitch on youtube but I can try to describe how to start and continue it verbally for you eyeroll

Step one : string two beads on a string then take one bead and string it through both strings, then string beads on both sides of the string again then take another bead and string it through both strings again. Keep doing that until you have a single bead strung through both strings then start your pattern through the bead on either side

I am not sure how to make or tie-off a flat panel but I hope this helped! mariocar
