Help with digital art products...

I never post to this website since I'm not that into kandi anymore, but I thought it would be nice to check in. Anyway, back on topic...

I was thinking a little bit about getting a drawing tablet with good animation software when I can afford to get a new laptop (Currently using a hand-me-down laptop my mom gave me. She still hasn't wiped all the data off it and the battery life is... Repulsive, to say the least 513b55c72be51_kao_yes.gif). I already know what laptop I want, but I'm still stuck on choices for apps and stuff. Are there any good and cheap animation/art apps or cheap art tablets any of you guys use? Let me know in the comments ^_^ 513b9224dd6ba_heart_bounce.gif

(P.S: You don't have to do this, but I'm also looking for pros and cons of the things you use. What's good? What's bad? I don't want to end up getting software or a tablet that's far from my tastes 513b395299300_wacko.gif)

for art programs i use a pirated paint tool sai 2, and a pirated clip studio paint

for pirated paint tool sai 2,

pros: rlly good stabilization thing, has majority of features other good art programs have, doesnt take long to figure out how 2 use (at least for me lol)
cons: idk if this is a "con" but without pirating its around 40$ i think? it's still pretty good tho. it doesnt have a lot of brushes but you can always import lol

pirated clip studio paint:

pros: LOADS of brushes istg.. and you can always import more, has a animation feature that u gotta pay for separately but if u pirate it u dont gotta haha..., has loads of features
cons: can be expensive if bought.. i think lol, i havent checked in a while how much it costs :sob:, can be kinda confusing, esp the animating part of the app

and if you dont like pirating get paint tool sai 2, firealpaca or medibang paint

hm... for drawing tabs... id say the xp pen star 03! its around 40/50-ish (maybe even 30 at the least?) dollars on amazon.

pros: it's just good, functions properly, feels nice

cons: its HUGE. its kind of hard to hold in your lap? youll likely have to either sit with the laptop in front of you and the tablet in your lap or at a table.

I don't use an art tablet anymore [I have a touchscreen laptop now], but Medibang Paint/FireAlpaca are awesome art programs for being totally free! I used those for years!! [FireAlpaca specifically also has an onion-skin mode for making animations!]

I still do use those sometimes depending on what exactly I'm trying to draw, but now I mainly use Clip Studio Paint—which is not free, but they usually have sales up to 50% off several times a year! It's a one-time purchase!
