I breathe in fours so I count to four then restart it helps me focus on something else besides my issue, or I play a lil I spy type game like pick a color, say green for example and try n find a specific number of green things, I usually choose 4 bc I like the number 4 if I'm like at home or I can, I like to hug stuffed animals, take a shower, drink a cup of tea, or pet my cat, I also have a lil yellow squishy guy I squish bc he's cute n stuff, I also like to draw or doodle yeah that's. Bonus tip, if I'm feeling anxious or triggerd or smthn I try to touch something (preferably something soft) smell something (like lavender or vanilla) hear something (single our a certain sound) look at something that catches my eye, and taste something if possible, those are the things I usually do and if all else fails a good cry or scream into a pillow helps to relieve anxious feelings (damn I wrote a whole ass book lol)

i know its kind of silly but selfshipping (and music but a lot of people said that already)

i use pico newgrounds to cope with a pretty shitty home life. i actually have this jacket i pretend he gave to me and it really helps me calm down but its getting hotter out so i cant wear it crying bringing it in my backpack to like school kinda helps though

you arent allowed to make fun of me ill cry. /hj

age-regression !!!!!!!!! it's literally so helpful and has helped me process my trauma and experience a childhood, i can't reccomend it enough

if its emergency i usually go straight to deep breaths or square breathing buttt for when im just in an anxious mood i noticed my fav tv show was the best way to calm down #win

dancing. turn on some dance music and go with the flow. jump up and down to the funky sound.

writing in a diary

one time i was having a delusion episode thingy and i purposly peed the bed because i knew my body would be in such shock that it would snap me out of the delusion and i would have to clean up. dont do this unless idk last resort i just thought it was pretty funny that i did it. (i mean it worked so if ur in like an awful panic attack or delusion or whateva do something your body would usually not process so it will snap ya out of it!!) again i'd say its a last resort situation if you reallllyyy need to calm down or its really bad but i guess just in case it eva gets that horrid heres a tip

@13Killz: usually the ppl who ask whats wrong is my family and theyre very overbearing so if i cry they either ask whats wrong a bunch or try to guess whats making me upset and just wont leave me alone.

usually, if the person talks quietly and doesnt overwhelm me too much ill be fine, its just that my family doesnt really handle me being upset that well.
