What's your creepiest/weirdest childhood memory?

Daydreamer 4/16/2022 04:20 pm 525

So one time when I was 5-6 me and my siblings were at our grandparents' house but at around midnight my sister blamed something she did on me so my grandma took me home as a punishment and when we got there her and my mom were talking about what "I" did while I played with ants in the front yard, I was trying not to pay too much attention so I didn't start crying or something but then I noticed their voices went silent so I assumed they were done but when I got up and looked at the truck the door was open but they were both gone, I called out for them but neither answered so I thought they went to the backyard for some reason to check but when I continued to call for them and no one answered I started crying and ran inside, I locked the door and started crying on the couch but like probably like 3-5 minutes later my mom starter knocking on the door asking why it was locked and calling me name (at this time my family was very poor so my dad would be at work all night so he wasn't home t the time) I opened the door crying and trying ti ask her where they were but my mom told me to stop because "boys didn't cry" and "nothing happened" then she sent me to my room with no TV even though I was still fucking terrified 514c877238924_rainbowsmile.gif and I know this wasn't a dream because one, at the time I never remembered my dreams, two it's engrained into my memory, and three even my mom claims to remember it 513b55c740178_kao_sick.gif

What about you guys? I love talking about this stuff 513b55c6de216_kao_happy.gif

@bythornethreat: yeah those can be really fucking scary, especially for a kid that young like you, I wasn't falling asleep but one time when I was waking up I felt like someone was playing with my legs, I couldn't move and I was panicking like hell, my legs were just floating and moving around even though I couldn't feel them, then I actually woke up, that wasn't even as bad

@bythornethreat: omg I had a similar experience with being a weird kid who liked fnaf. When I was like seven one of my best friends told me if I didn't go to sleep at my bedtime the nightmare dudes would eat me. And like I was genuinely terrified sick

when I was in elementary school, around 2-3 grade, I was in my bed, and my sister wasn’t (we share a room and I sleep on the top bunk, I was sleeping on the top bunk when this happened too), the lights were off but I could see the light in the hallway since my parents were in the living room, my dad had just walked past my door, and I saw the silhouette of a hand reach out, grab the doorframe, and slowly drag away?? It’s hard to describe but I can clarify if needed, but I know it couldn’t have been my dad because he was in the living room and talking to my mom when it happened, and I didn’t hear any footsteps before or after it happened (excluding my dad obviously but like I said it couldn’t have been him), and I didn’t hear the sound of a hand actually grabbing or dragging away from my doorframe, and the hand didn’t match my dad’s either. It was about the size of an average adult hand, if not a little slimmer, but my siblings weren’t there and my parents were both in the living room, so again, neither of them. I never mentioned it to anyone, and I’m pretty sure it was a hypnagogic hallucination, but still a pretty freaky thing for a kid in elementary.

also in like 4th grade I would wake up earlier than the rest of my family, lie on my back on the couch, and just stay there as still as possible because I thought if I moved, the marionette from fnaf would jump out and kill me. This wasn’t supernatural or anything like that I was just a weird kid who really liked fnaf

@catnoirmybeloved: yeah though i dont think the people making it could capture the emotion and the spiral of terror
