do any of u have ways that I can calm myself down? I'm trying not to use social media as a way to calm myself down I need tips, love u <333

if you can remove yourself from the situation as fast as possible and sit and feel anxious and do whatever helps it out of your system for me this is stimming, hugging stuffed animals, hiding under a blanket, rocking, running my fingers down my palms, massaging my scalp, etc. I try to just be and if that doesn't work I distract myself with shows/movies.

usually what i do is i try my best to indulge in things i like more often. like for example sometimes if i feel stressed and anxious i’ll stop whatever i’m doing and make kandi. kandi making is something that comforts me, so basically, try your best to indulge in the things that make you happy when you’re at a low point mentally. it helps you snap back into a positive mindset when you’re doing something that brings you joy happy heart bounce

as someone who just got over burnout i honestly just listened to my playlist of some calming / relaxing music from like the 50s, 60s and 70s !! it helped relax me as i did homework and tests and stuff and it was overall just good study music because it didn't wanna make me get up and dance constantly.

i also just took breaks more often to just chill out and also played with my puppy a lot too !!! if the weather is nice enough, it also REALLY helps to go for a walk outside !! even if it's just a small two (2) blocks, it helps to clear your head and helps you relax a bit ^______^ !!!!!
