hola amigos I need some book recommendations >:33 preferably something poetry related or similar to Edgar Allen Poe (cuz I’m emo ????

not a fan of poetry so i cant help you there, but here are the books i always recommend

a danger to herself and others- alyssa sheinmel

nypd red- james patterson

if it bleeds- stephen king

mr mercedes- stephen king (but only the first book. the second it okay, third sucks)

the outsider- stephen king

11/22/63- stephen king

batman: nightwalker- marie lu

the institute- stephen king

coraline- neil gaiman

good omens- neil gaiman

neverwhere- neil gaiman

billy summers- stephen king

oh i was gonna recommend something that isnt poetry

that book is "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" by Holly Jackson

not poetry but kinda dark at some points, but I definitely recommend "song of achilles" it' so good !! cutee purplemushy

not dark at all but more of a romcom series, to all the boys ive loved before and the other books in its series are great! a good girls guide to murder is great as well

"The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," one of my favorite books of all time

anything by H.P. Lovecraft specifically "Rats in the Walls," "Cool Air," and "The Outsider" (warning: the man is really racist)

"The Mortal Immortal" by Mary Shelly (author of Frankenstein)

"Dracula" (actually a really good book)

"Ms. Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children" not a classic like the rest but still a great book

so,,, its not poetry or dark (its a comedy book) but no more dead dogs by gordan korman (no dogs actually die) is so, so good and i will literally reccomend it to anyone who asks for book recs regardless of genre :,)
