im sorry if this sounds like im selfish and paranoid i just dont want ppl thinking more badly abt me at school than they already do

ok so i wanna dye my hair purple and i have for a while and i told all my friends including this one and i FINALLY am today after school!! but, my friend that is "popular" (i hate saying that) came into class with purple hair today, and im scared that because im not as liked or "popular' when i come in tmr, ppl will think im copying her.

she's shown no interest in dyeing her hair purple before i told her, so idk if she did this on purpuse or not,but i wanna believe its not. im not gona tell her to re dye it cuz thats mean. i just dk what to do.

im sorry this is a dumb thing to be worried abt, i just wanna get my hair done and not be hated at school

update: it’s purple now and looks super duper awesome thanks everyone for the advice!!

Do purple go for it! I've been doing a specific color for awhile and all of a sudden this girl started doing it and at first she got some comments but just ignore them if she doesn't like it she can change her hair color no need for you to change so she can be happy.

@harpersaquesadilla: i think you should still wear it. they don't own pink sweaters. try styling it differently and accessorizing it if you wanna do it differently

haha i’m in the same situation kinda

so for my birthday my mom got me a strawberry print knitted cardigan (it’s so cute) but my ex + crush literally has a new pink sweater with strawberries on it and i don’t want to wear it cause she’ll probably notice (we’re still friends)
