masks tutorial 2

Description Each stitch is a different color compared to the adjacent stitch. When mating the edges together, you add reinforcement where necessary. The string is a .8mm elastic and the stitches are peyote, excepting the straps. Since this was my first attempt, I have a number of suggestions for myself and others. If I were to make another, these are some things I'd think about and plan for: a) The widening of the black center section is a little too pronounced for the look I want. It could work well if the center were a rectangle 4-6 beads wide with a slight narrowing at the nose to 3-2 beads as pictured. b) The shorter head strap should be placed behind the neck, and the longer one, over the top of the ears. I liked this configuration because I dance aggressively. Halodiablo used a Y shaped strap that connects behind the neck which looks cool too. Be creative with this one! The stitch is a little different and is indicated by the red and green lines if you don't come up with

Really nice job man...I want to make one but not 100% sure how to follow your tutorial. A video would be a really big help also I was wondering if the beads pull your hair at all since the strap goes around the head?
