Kandi_Kit, to figure out how big a cuff is (approximately), do this: - Multiply the number of columns by the width of your bead - Multiply the number of rows by the height of your bead If you're using 6x9mm pony beads, that would come out to 204mm around and 144mm tall. Converted into inches that's 8.03" around and 5.67" tall. Everyone's definition of a "big guy" is a bit different, so it's hard to know what to advise. I had a boyfriend who was 5'9" 160lbs - about average build, maybe slightly on the larger size. He needed 34 beads around for cuffs that only went around his wrist. This cuff goes up higher than that, so it would need to be bigger. I probably would have made it about 36-38 for him. Based on that, I think your guy would probably need at least 40 beads around, possibly much more depending on how "big" he is. You can make this pattern bigger by adding an even number of columns to it and continuing the stripe pattern.
