To all those who sell

This isnt a question, but beware of selling items online with notable characters I.E. Hello Kitty. I have recently had a problem with a copy right infringement on my hello kitty backpack which I made, although It doesnt look like Hello Kitty at all. So if you are selling your things online, dont call it by the characters actual name, dont want you to have to go through the same things I am at this time.

So just got another reply back, and everything is all good now, they agreed that my item didnt look like hello kitty so "Thank you for sending the picture. In this case, we agree with you that the backpack itself does not look like Hello Kitty. So if you stop using the name Hello Kitty to advertise it, that will solve the problem. Thank you for your cooperation." Just changing the name and its going right back up

Like if you look at the bag, it dont even look like HK, so the only thing I can think of is people being mad that it costs like $150 because of all the beads and hours I put into it >.< and my stuff is pretty generic except a few things but whatever I will still sell if off my facebook, so they can suck it whoever it was

ah thats good to know now XDand id syco ur stuffs epic so they decided to pick on u. i mean someone had to say somthing to the company or some such nonsense with u in mind otherwise they woulda asked etsy to takedown all related materials, fishy the target on person. but i know what ya mean, so much hk that looks as such or actually uses the trademarked hk character (thats y i used a rendered drawing for the sides on my hk themed stuff lol)

Definitely would be good for all those who sell to go read that. And to read through all of these comments. Could save a lot of people a lot of trouble. Thanks for linking that Crumpet

Or say this is not for comercial use and that there is a copyright on certain characters so beware that if they are selling online the company can come after them for using their character/logo/saying whatever such an unnecessary hassle >.< and why me? Like search etsy for hello kitty and there are HUNDREDS of items that look more like hello kitty then my backpack I made so wtf?

damn thats crazy that the actual company did that, someone in an office somewhere with to much time on there hands being an a-hole lol and i dont think theyd say somthing about the patterns though if they did it'd open a flood gate with the amount of other stuff on here. id just put a disclaimer that u dont promote or support copying any companies ip's and everyone posting understand that or somthing lol idk >.<
