sum ppl heavily annoy me,, thrift stores are for ppl who cant afford to get stuff from other places that are more expensive,, the prices at thrift shops haave went up since it became a trend,, plus 99% of mfs who thrift bc they think theyre quirky or sum used 2 bully kids who didnt have enough money 2 get clothes, so PLEASEE if you can afford to shop at big storess, do it,, please !!

fr its so annoying, ive never been able to afford cool clothes n have been a victim of fast fashion websites before /hj

but like, all these wealthy kids at my school think its cool to get their "emo 2008 grunge vamp goth y2k" n then flip it using hundreds of dollars worth of paint n jewels n whatnot

(which i flip things too w cheap stuff i have laying around)

honestly thrift stores were my best friend but my local goodwill just got super duper expensive over the summer n the more local n smaller thrifty wifty stores just have a lot of toys n clothing for the elderly which is still great for ppl who cant afford those items but not what im looking for

so its basically impossible for me to get anything cheap anymore

@V4MP1RE_GUTZZ: SAME-- it fucks you up, especially when you don't have a good sense of self, to go out looking for things to make you feel human and seeing a 30 fucking dollar price tag on it when it's an unwashed hoodie with a stain on the back. Like I'm dressing in handme downs FROM MY FUCKING SOCIAL WORKERS. And rich brats can't even spend 10$ in a clothing store that doesn't have all polyester clothes- NOOO THEY HAVE TO MAKE POOR PPL SHIT COOL~~~~~~

Like the reason why thrifting is better for the environment is because it's buying up clothes that would land in landfills and waste our planet away. But the thing is the same can be achieved by only buying cotton/natural fiber clothing. That's literally it. It probably would've helped us poor ppl because by the time those clothes get donated we'll have higher qualit, longer lasting, And probably less gross clothing to us. Also the polyester shit would go down in price and we'd finally have a chance to not raid thrif stores and get fresh clothing for once.

I hate rich kids so fucking much.

i hate arguing to start a fight but i love arguing to genuinely have a conversation so dont think i dont agree necessarily!!!. Thrifting isnt that bad imo. I hate that prices have gone up but its actually better to thrift than spend the same amount at h&m and have the clothes rip and end up in a landfill. I agree that if you bully poor people ur a bad person and shouldn't thrift but i really do think that thrifting is often better for finding sustainable clothing. AS LONG AS you also donate!! I donate/give away my clothes once a year but i also thrift a lot!!! It's better for the enviroment and nothing is really wrong with it imo as long as you give back lol

adding to what i said, i BY NO MEANS, can afford sustainable clothing. I have worn the same pair of $50 sketchers for 3 years bcus i cant afford better shoes
