Wearing kandi

TheWindexKid 8/12/2012 07:14 pm 3022

I want to wear my kandi more often, only thing is I can't wear them at work and I don't know how my friends will react. I know some will think it's awesome and cool, but my older friends (age wise) will be like "what are you 5?" Now, I'm really shy to begin with and I tend to get really upset when people chastise me. I also Have a suuuper supportive boyfriend who will love whatever I do or wear. I just don't know if I can wear it, also I go back to college in January so I feel very childish if I wear it on campus....HELP!! What should I do? How can I beat these feelings?

when u go to collage, u will notice how many ppl long to have ur courage to wear ur kandi )toys and all) and u will probably find that the more u wear it, the more others will too. my sister went to this fancy rich collage in England and wore hers, next thing u know, half the school has kandi. weather she started a rend or others go the courage to wear it, who knows. and as far as ur friends, if they r truly ur friends they will support you, and some may even jump on the band wagon per say. big grin

You're gonna have to have the "Eff you I'ma do me" attitude. But if you really do care, you can make big necklace pieces of an animal, or make a cuff that goes to your elbow, just make a bunch a big epic stuff to show more creativity than childishness. Or you can just explain what you are wearing, and tell people that it's not childish, its art.

Lemme say I understand what you mean, When I first started making kandi I rarely wore it, I would mix a couple singles in with other bracelets and make it look less conspicuous. But As I continued I got more and more proud of my creations and wanted to show them off. Now I go to a very conformative school, most of the people there all look the same and act the same. So when I started wearing it people often got pissy because I am the only person wearing it. So of course some people Hate it, and others love it, whenever I go somewhere I often get compliments and I have made friends hrough it, they learned the meaning behind it and recived some from me as well and now they are completely in love with kandi. Sure people will Give you weird looks but it is about having pride in it enough to just not care <3 sorry for the long post haha laughing
