ive never bought online. always bought from beverleys craft store or walmart.. i spent a total of about 75$(in different time span, but thats about how much my bead collection is) and i got a bunch of diffrent beads. i suggest walmart though.. just the other day i bought a couple of 500 bead packages for just $1.97

The other day I got a bowl of 2300 beads from Wal-Mart for 8.00 I think. That is the only place I buy beads so I don't know about any others

@xxNightShade: You call that a great deal, considering Walmart sells them for 1.97? Man you must clearly be off your rocker.

I get my beads at Walmart. but I believe you can also find them at the Dollar Tree. or you could look online at raver sites to find some beads.hklolly

I like the letters from the dollar tree, wouldn't really recommend the pony beads though (they're alright if you need to practice new things, which is what I used mine for when I had a bunch) I do think the letters are a bit smaller than 'normal' ones, but they've got a lot of colors of them (red orange yellow green blue purple & pink!!!! ~they used to have ones that were just red green blue pink and purple I think they were... I have a bunch of those but the new ones are a lot better) and they're decent quality for the price. Some have a little extra color on them, (doesn't really bother me too much, idk about anyone else) but as far as broken ones, out of ten bags not too many of mine have been broken. It's super fun to be able to pick out exactly the letter I need in the color I need.

@RobotFrog21: Based on the year this was posted, I think the person was referring to pony beads. But for perler beads I agree the official Perler site you linked is one of the best and cheapest places to get Perler beads from. It might not always be the absolute cheapest if another store has an offer on, but the prices are consistently some of the lowest because you're getting them direct from the source. You can also guarantee they are good quality. Sometimes store brand fuse beads don't melt properly.

Hobby lobby has their 360ct pony beads for 50% off right now. I picked up basic colors + black and white for 1.50 a bag

hkheartI have been finding not only pony beads, bit other plastic/specialty beads at thrift stores in my area, but the ones i find are alot of only one color, but otherwise, I usually get mine at michaels, or joann's, but you have to keep an eye out for sales and junk wink
