Guys, guess what! EDC now accepts ravers 16 and up! :D

Okay, so just recently after EDC Las Vegas, 2015, EDC decided that people 16 and up should be able to go to EDC! You are no longer required to be 18 or older to attend EDC, now you only have to be 16!

Ohh....erm. I'm not sure if I should be happy or concerned. I mean.... they are 16 years old... I wonder if anime conventions can do the same thing

I actually was looking for a link because I knew someone would ask, but I couldn't find one because of how recent it was, but I will keep looking.

I know this because my friend went this year and was there when they announced it

I just checked their website and there is no mention of any such thing. They're very good about releasing big news articles like this. Unless you can provide me with another link I'll have to say this is false.

Especially in light of the events of EDC 2010 where a 15-year-old died from a drug overdose. This sparked the city of Los Angeles to ban EDC from returning the next year which is why it was moved to Las Vegas. After this all other Insomniac events became 18+ and have been ever since.

@Hollow_Beats: Anime conventions typically hold their "raves" for all con attendees regardless of age. I went to a number of them as a teenager.

IN MY OPINION, if you are not at least over the legal age of 18 (considered an adult in the U.S.) you should not be allowed into any type of massive festival like that. If you can barely drive a car, you can't take care of yourself at a festival.

I think that would be awesome. Although I would be kinda concerned from an adults point of view. It would be awesome for teens to run around at edc but they dont really have a way to monitor them So more than likely the information that is given is wrong
