Is it okay for me to be a guy kandi kid?

I'm very happy with who I am, but it's hard to stay happy when people are ridiculing you in school hallways.. "Beads are made for chicks" I've been having a hard time excepting myself with +harsh+ name calling... and on top of that, I'm very flamboyant to put things lightly.. I know this is emotional but just tell me is it okay..? At least.. are there any other male ravers out there

I don't know many kandi kids personally, but I love seeing guys on the site and out and about.

There are tons of Kandi Kid guys where I am from. They are often the ones that are most likely to make a kandi just for you and often put alot of thought into the kandi they make. I heart me some kandi guys!

Absolutely! I sell kandi on etsy and many of my customers are male! Kandi is for everyone and it's not limited to gender. The people who are ridiculing you don't know what kandi is. happy

Get out there and rock your beads and don't let anyone bring you down for it!

Of course it's okay, there are plenty of guy kandi kids. I'm attaching a pic of me and my ex boyfriend, who used to wear tons of kandi. From your username it seems like you might be queer? It's fine for all guys to dress/act flamboyantly though, even straight guys, because that's part of what being a kandi kid is all about! In fact it's probably one of the few times that a straight male can dress this way without being teased, apart from things like costume parties. If you're getting upset by people teasing you at school, consider toning down your look for school and only going all out at raves. At raves people compliment you on your outfit and kandi, not ridicule you for it. It's a shame that you would have to consider changing your look to please other people, because I don't think you should have to do that. But if the teasing/bullying is having a really negative impact on your emotional state you might have to consider it. You can still express yourself without going all out.
