Best stores to buy perler beads at?

Rainy_Daze 6/27/2023 11:44 am 887

I've started making stuff out of perler beads recently, but I don't have many colors, so I can't make a lot of the designs I want to 514c8a1d751c4_w04.gif

Soooo does anyone have suggestions for good stores (in the U.S.) to buy a decent variety of perler bead colors? 514c8a28ed9fc_w25.gif

Edit: Thank you all so much for the replies!! I think I'm gonna try to see what craft stores are closest to my house and go to those, since it seems like those are getting recommended the most 514c8a2919f35_w34.gif

Michaels has 'em in big assorted buckets and single colors, but I don't know how their choices compare to other places.

if u need a bunch of colors to start out with you can sometimes find those buckets of perler at thrift stores (usually local/nonprofit stores, i don't think i've ever seen one at a goodwill) but michael's and joann's should both have the standard buckets and they almost always have coupons online. they also should have individual white and black packs which i'd recommend getting asap since they're always the first to run out lol

after you get a bucket to start with it's easiest ime to plan what designs you want to make and then order those individual colors on beadtin/amazontbh confetti

i got my first perler bead bucket at michaels!! they also sell pegboards, and i think they have a bunch of shapes and sizes, i dont really remember though because the last time i went there was in 2022, but i think they still have perler beads! ive also heard that they sell them at joanns, and i also recommend looking on the walmart and target websites, and amazon too. i got a perler bucket with 22,000 beads in it from target, and walmart carries a bunch of packs with 1 color in them!

i usually go to micheals and other craft storess, but stay away from hobby lobby beacuse they have a history of being very homophobic
