Rainbow Loom Trend Mixing with Kandi...Opinions?

Working at a Michaels and seeing how FAST this thing took off, is any one interested in how this may mingle with kandi, trading, ect. Personally I'm really excited to go to some raves and see others wearing and willing to trade these bracelets. This to me is like a new sub genre of kandi!

Lol, I saw those at Michaels and wanted one so bad, but my birthdays coming up so my mom said for my birthday. But the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was kandi! If I do get it for my birthday, (I'll get it after if I don't, LOL) I'm for sure going to be wearing it with my kandi.

I personally wouldn't mind having one of those looms myself. I've seen them at Michaels and have even considered getting one. I had one in my cart but I put it back because it was either buying that or more string/beads etc. (I didn't have a job then) I'll probably be eventually picking one of these up. Just a thought.. I wonder if one could use hair ties (the really small elastic ones?) instead of having to buy the special rubber bands. Maybe not because the special bands are a bit more durable.

Actually, before I had the loom i used a random item in my house for the loom part and those small hair elastic for the rubber bands. it takes a lot more bands and time, but it works just as good. It probably break easier too, but i haven't broken one yet.

I make them currently, actually. My patterns I've made, and the ONE I'm currently pending, are all being used for rainbow loom cuffs. I've found using the technique for 5 row name band (rainbow loom pattern) is quite useful for making up to nine rows (Ten and the bands break.) I started calling them bandi, and now I make them all the time! :3

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like rainbow loom. :c My sister makes it. She's made me things in the past but I never wore any because I didn't like how it felt on my skin. :/ Plus, I don't really like how some of the things look. The more complicated things look awesome, but I don't see myself making any of it anytime soon. I'm sticking with kandi. c: Another reason why I don't want to get into it is because I don't have enough money to buy both rubber bands and beads. ;-;
