Any hair curling/fluffy tips for short hair??

I just cut my hair and kinda need some tips for curling it and getting it fluffy at the same time and not flatten. I wear flexible hair spray (my mom's gonna get me some real stuff soon, since I have straight hair) and I have a Chi curler (safe one) and a small normal curler. I also already know the get it puffier by spraying it upside down. Help? Also I'm open to chatting!

i have sum curl cream stuff i use like,,, twice a week. other than that when i wash my hair i blow dry it upside down and i brush it from the ends to the roots. i also use sum cheap hairspray to scrunch it up a little if necessary : )
