How To Use Peyote Beads???

Deleted Account 10/29/2013 05:38 am 988

I am new to making Kandi, and only know how to use Pony and Fuse beads, but I see alot of patterns using Peyote beads. Are they better to use than pony beads? How are they different to use than pony or perler beads? Any advice is appreciated 1.gif ~ Rebecca_Kandi_Cutie~

There is actually no such thing as a peyote bead. The word "peyote" refers to the stitch you use to make the pieces. Most patterns that say peyote are designed to be made as flat charms or flat panels, and that requires a different stitch (technique) than kandi cuffs. Most people still use pony beads to make them, but you can use other sizes of beads too like mini pony beads or seed beads (seed beads are the really tiny ones).
