Personally, I get mine at Michaels. However, if there is no Michaels near you, I'm sure that they sell good perlers at a Jo-Anns, Hobby Lobby, A.C Moore or maybe even Walmart. I know some people who are very happy with the quality and price of Walmart perlers, although I have never tried them. The perler beads from Michaels, though, are ALWAYS the same size and high quality. However, since it is a higher quality, it is harder to iron. A tub of 11,000 beads goes for about $15 there, although I ALWAYS use cupons. The tub just says "perler beads";It does not have a brand name on the box. The corresponding pegboards should be located somewhere near there, because pegboards are NOT included with the tub...However, I think that there are some kits there that include perler beads AND boards that might not be as pricey, but are of the same good quality happy

Is this happening while you are ironing it or just putting the pegs on the board? If it is happening while you are ironing it, press down the iron on the beads until you see like steam (at least this happens with my perlers) on the perlers, through the wax paper. That's when you know that the beads have begun to melt. If you lift up the iron before that, beads will have melted unevenly, and some will have melted and others will have fallen out of their..umm..positions? However, your perlers should NOT pop off of their pegs when you put them on the board. If that's whats happening, your board might be warped from heat, or your perlers might be cheap (I bought a cheap, small container with some perlers and a small board and some of the perlers didn't fit on the board that came with it).. or your beads might not match the board you're using. I wouldn't expect the perlers that cost like a dollar to be reliable, but perlers and boards that come from a lot more expensive craft store SHOULD work. Good luck happy
