Reply to thread: How do you make a kandi gas mask?
i made panels and stitched them together as i shaped it as i went. then i made some small multi cuffs and attached them to the mask form. then either make a modified star or a plug from perler beads. then stitch them on the end of the tube.

the surgical masks are not that hard. they are like one giant peyote that you stitch up. I don't suggest you use gingercand-e's tutorial on youtube for this one though cuz its confusing. go with cellular mango.

Reply to thread: idea- organize patterns
I've already added more specific pattern types on the new site: bikinis, masks etc like you say, but I wasn't planning on using tabs to split them up. That's a really great idea and I'm using tabs in other places so I could easily do that. Do other people think it would be a good idea? I could also make it so that if you click "perler" (for example) in one category, perler will also be automatically selected when you click onto another category. Similar to the buttons on top, but more convenient.

Reply to thread: What's your favorite and least favorite type of kandi to make? [Go to page: 1, 2]
My favorite things to make are surgical masks and hearts. My least favorite is actually any kind of multi cuff. I know it's a really basic way of making things and is used all the time, but I've had way too many mishaps. I know how to do it - and maybe it's my method of doing it? I dunno. - it just takes me longer.

People at school almost everyday point at something and ask if I can make that for them. I usually just smile because all my kandi means something to me and I'm not gonna make another one and give it to someone I don't really know. I'm alwaaaays making kandi for my friends and I taught my best friend how to make a cuff but she doesn't sell. Almost everywhere I go people ask me how I make it and I'm just smile because I'm socially awkward and don't like talking to strangers... Only a few other people in my school make it but I'm pretty sure they dont sell. I don't like it when people ask me because I don't like saying no and being rude but one day like 5 people came up to me and pointed at my zubat peyote necklace and asked me if I could make them 1... And sometimes people just expect me to make them something like this 1 girl im apparently making a mask for her or this guy I'm making a necklace for... So yeah lol

my last piece was my "rolling" single made up of rainbow dice and I just broke it today, I managed to get most of the beads though. though if you meant larger project wise, my first mask, simple green and black striped, pretty crappily made but i was so proud of it

Reply to thread: I don't know why this bothers me so much.... [Go to page: 1, 2, 3, 4]
This reminds me of the time when everyone wanted to know how to make 3D character heads like Hello Kitty and Deadmau5. At first, nobody who knew how to make them was willing to reveal the secret. But eventually, someone who taught themselves created a tutorial, and before too long lots of people were making them and making more tutorials for them. I'm willing to bet that the same thing will happen with kandi gas masks eventually. Someone on here once said they were considering making a tutorial but I'm not sure if they ever made one or not.
