I don't know why this bothers me so much....

But it's like people who know how to make kandi gas mask are sworn to some kind of secrecy. I would LOVE to learn how to make one, but I'm the type of person that needs some kind of visual aid, weather it be a video tutorial or a picture one. I have scoured the internet to find something, ANYTHING! remotely helpful and came up empty handed. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way...right?

Yeah, I hate when people demand tutorials for everything, especially when there are already tutorials for the type of kandi they want to make (mask, cuff, flat peyote charm etc) and they want a separate tutorial for a specific style or pattern.

yeah i grew up with not know anything other than what i made myslef in the scene. b4 utube it was, hey thats awesome. u looked at it and if it intrigued u enough u sat down and tried it out. even if it didnt come out like u saw it still taught u technique and different ways to do things. nothing comes easy to me, each piece i do no matter what it is teaches me somthing new. its not the fact i "know" what im doing its the fact i learn through the challenge. if i watched a utube vid id b lost. i dont know the stitchs and designs and such. i just sit down and force my idea into life. everyone learns different but if no one sat down and let the creative uices flow, epic kandi would still b rare and barley seen around. tuts are def good to get people started off and such but demanding ppl to make a tut cause u wanna do there thing isnt a good reason. i wont make a tut for anything, just cause im to detialed, hyper, and it'd take forever that and my kandi is an extension of my creativity and personality and want to have my flair say my own. not keeping it to myslef to b an ass or anything lol

To clarify, I wasn't talking about gas masks in that comment. I was just talking about tutorials in general. When you're good at something or when it comes (relatively) easy to you, it can be hard to understand that it's incredibly difficult for other people. I suspect that's what's happening with HaloDiablo. I've been in the same situation with coding. I didn't realize how much easier it was for me until I tried to teach someone. I started to elaborate on what I mean by incredibly difficult, but I think I've said too much already. What it comes down to is that if we want to have a large, thriving kandi making community, we need to have tutorials. Most people won't spend weeks or months teaching themselves how to make a cuff. And no, we're not better off without those people happy Ok, we're better off without some of them, but I don't want to give up the good ones, lol.

crumpet has made the most sense out of anyone because creativity homes in many forms and i'm a visual learner but creative thoughts usualy only come to me when i'm designing patterns or cooking because i love to cook so i know i'll need the extra help with the pattern reading it

I remember when cuffs and huge pieces were rare. Everyone used to be amazed by my pattern cuffs and take photos of them. I don't miss that though. I like that kandi has become popular, and it wouldn't have happened without the tutorials available on the internet. There has to be a balance between encouraging people to be creative and helping them learn the techniques. There are many, many people who can't just look at a complicated piece of kandi and figure out how it's made, but who are very creative and once they learn a technique, can apply their own style to the piece. If you refuse to teach anyone how to make things you'll be excluding all those people. Plus, once those people learn a few existing techniques, they become more capable of creating new kinds of kandi by themselves. There will always be people who copy things exactly. I don't see how that can be avoided, but I definitely don't think that refusing to teach anyone anything is the answer. That would lead to less copying but it would probably also lead to less innovation overall because there wouldn't be as many people making kandi. I don't think kandi would be as advanced as it is today if we didn't have such a large kandi-making community, and we have tutorials to thank for that.

What kind of masks are you looking for? I've seen really cool ones but I don't know how to make those but I have seen tutorials for a surgeon mask and a bandana

Halodiable then why have this website why have tutorials on the internet because if we should all do our own thing and not market it what would happen you would get factions AND YES LEARNING STYLE DOES AFFECT WHITHER YOU DO SOMETHING OR NOT because if i could self teach myself everything about kandi i would not have needed youtube in the first place and before you say that's not what i meant or your twisting it its a double sided street like proposition B in Missouri trying to increase cigarette tax if they cant have there pleasure then why should i be allowed fast food without additional tax or internet i swear i think i'm done because if people cant respect other peoples beliefs and personal experiences that back them up and besides halodiablo everything in this day and age is a rip off for the most part

"MrBreadMonkey": I'm going to try to be making a tutorial soon because 1) so many people keep requesting them, and 2) I need more videos on my channel for sure. Message me if you want more info. WILL DO big grin

make somthing urself in ur own style and manor that u shouldnt b making kandi in the first place. making clones of everything u see takes away from how special somthing is. and sitting down and saying its only about plur/trading/friendship dilutes and trivialises what kandi is. might as well b a trading crad game if thats the case >.>
