how did you come up with your alias(es)/online name(s)/name(s) you go by?

idk if its just me but the names/aliases I've used have some kind of backstory behind them but I'm kinda curious about how ppl came up with theirs! share your stories if you feel comfortable, I'd really enjoy reading them!

Also here's the story behind my current one and my first one:

First: I think the first alias I ever used was probably the name "Kyu Daegu" that I came up with in 5th grade! I got the "Kyu" part off the side of a truck, which is apparently "*a tax license number issued for the Kentucky Weight Distance Tax" (whatever that means) and Daegu is the city in South Korea that Suga from BTS grew up in! (I was a HUGE k-pop stan then lmao)

Current: I currently go by the name Mirai and I've actually been thinking about also going by Mojyo-chan! (btw Mojyo just means unpopular girl and I'm kind of a fan of Watamote, so that's how I came up with that one) Although, I'm kinda scared I'll get made fun of for have a "weeb name" or whatever. I watched "Mirai" on Netflix a few years ago, (although I never finished it bc I lost interest) and I thought Mirai sounded cool, the name stuck, and I've been using that alias for about the past 2-3 years!
