What type of string do you use for x-bases and 3Ds?

I use .5 fabric colored and the few 3D kandi I have made look kinda floppy and unstable, so what type/size of string should i use?

I like to use the 'rainbow' string from Michaels. I can't order string online, so that's what I have to work with. I think it is 1mm (or thicker?) and it looks really pretty under clear beads, or glow in the dark. Also is really fun in between the beads. big grin I made my first epic using it, not perfect, but I do love it <3 Only downside with the string I use is I only get about two 'normal sized' 3d's out of each roll, so it goes pretty quickly when the kandi bug bites me. Although, i've seen many people use the huuuuge roll of cloth elastic they can order on Amazon for $9-$10 with 2 day shipping through prime. I hope I helped. ^~^

I would recommend using a 1mm fabric string for the base cuff to keep it stretchy, and then use clear plastic string for the outer 3D layers to make them stand up better. Personally I use the fabric string for everything, but the 3D parts do look more floppy with fabric string.
