I'm just curious, why are some of you guys against selling kandi or someone else selling theirs?

Personally I don't really care, its America, people can do what they want. But some people say its against PLURR, cause kandi bracelets are friendship bracelets too, so if you sell kandi you're selling friendship pretty much.

I guess its against plur, and like "invisibleforlife" said its like selling friendship. I guess the whole point is to give/trade them away. People seemed fine with me selling it for charity though. I guess it was part of PLUR because i wasnt keeping the money for myself?

a lot of the reason I sell kandi is to make the money to be able to buy more beads. In order to make things for other people you need the money to pay for the beads. Its a circle. Most people dont understand that though.

Some people are crazy into rave culture, and by no means do they think it's okay. It personally makes me uncomfortable when people sell "kandi", however, if they called it "beaded creations" I wouldn't care. But like they said, people are gonna do what they want to do. So I don't honestly care, and I don't let it bother me. To me, kandi=friendship. It seems pretty greedy to sell something like that, you know what I mean? That's all. It's not the creation itself. It's what it stands for.

Honestly I have no idea. People said the same exact thing about friendship bracelets. You know, the ones out of thread? Yet they are being sold in JCPenny, Claire's, etc. I never judge people selling kandi. I assume people do it for charity or supplies. And I totally respect that, also because it is something I'd do. The only time I find it wrong to sell kandi is if it was traded. You should never sell something that took time off making from other people. Also, for the ones who get booty tickled about selling kandi, it may seem un-PLURful to do so, but it also unPLUR ful to judge them for that. You don't have to agree, but what about the respect? :c

I'm 50/50 on selling kandi if you do it for charity its perfectly fine and even if you need supplies I even understand I would do that cuz admit it beads and string cosst so much money in perspective. But yet for me it all comes down to PLUR because as you all know kandi is made as an expression of your creativity and trading is so powerful because the two who are trading that you are both giving sometthing that took you time effort creativity and love and all that so selling it seems wrong I've tried to sell kandi for supplies and it still feels wrong to me so I don't but if you do I have no problem with it only when big companies like hot topic and so sell it cuz they no nothing about the culture all they want is the money.

You don't sell friendship so you don't sell kandi.

Because your supposed to make it your self, Because the whole point of it, is like sharing a special bond, with other ravers and making your own type of kandi, Because its unique. Kandi should only be traded, NOT bought. Just saying. :\

Me, I don't mind. I only sell it for supplies, because I don't have a steady source of income at the moment. I trade and give kandi to my friends all the time. People who I don't know in other states and etc that want "beaded creations" as they say, because they don't know how to make it or just don't want to take the time to make it, is a tad different than my close friends here.

Kandi is something you trade with friends. If you sell it it's like "Hey wanna buy my friendship?" I honestly don't like the idea of someone selling their kandi but I'm not going to call you out on it and call you a poser or whatever. But some pple WILL give you a hard time so you just have to be careful :/
