How do you react when people ask you to teach them how to make kandi?

I wear kandi up to my elbows at school. I've gotten compliments on them, I've been called a freak too many times to remember, and I've also had people asking me to teach them how to make kandi. I taught one of my closest friends because I thought she understood what kandi stood for, what it means to me, to the kandi community. I thought she knew that each piece of kandi should have meaning. But instead she started making and selling the kandi two days after I taught her (Like Hot Topic! lol) It just irked me a little, but I never told her she couldn't. I guess I just thought she would know. Now another friend of mine asked if I could teach her. It's not that I don't like her, but it's just that I don't know her well enough to know that she won't sell it or start giving them away willy-nilly. Then again, I don't know this girl well enough to say that she WILL end up selling the kandi. So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. So how do YOU react when people ask you to teach them how to make kandi, whether it be your best friend, or a complete stranger?

I'm honestly kinda confused when people ask that, because...you put beads on string o_o; I never really got the "teaching" part, haha. Cuffs and stuff I understand, but as far as regular singles? Most of us made bracelets as little kids already so it can't be ~that~ difficult =P

I taught My friend after she saw a pic i posted on FB. She wanted me to teach her so I was like OK! Because she was my best friend and thought It would be cool to share something I LOVE to do with her. Can You guess what she started doing after I taught her? She Started SELLING her Kandi! I told her that's not what it's for, All about friendship, etc. But she doesn't get it. It really bugs me that she does this. So What I'm trying to say is be careful who you teach and make sure they know what Kandi is and what it stands for...

Well I've taught alot of people. And probably the only person who completely understands kandi is my boyfriend. There are people who respect it, and won't sell, that I've taught, but they still don't get the full meaning. Only one other person I know is trying to sell kandi, but he's really not even that good. I say have at it; teach them, but don't forget to include the meaning! happy
