I use parchment paper instead of wax paper because its good for multiple uses and wont stick to the perler beads. It also is less likely to catch fire. You dont have to put the iron on high to melt them. If its too high the pegboards can warp. I use the middle setting on the lower side of heat and it melts well.

To avoid warping the pegboard, try not to stay to long on the design with your iron, always keep it moving to allow cooling. When the perler beads look like they are sticking together a little, I like to take the design off the pegboard and flip it over onto another square of parchment paper to finish melting. Kind of like where the design is sandwiched between two squares of parchment paper. It helps keep your pegboard in good condition.

@Male: this is also good if you don't wanna take out the iron every time you finish a piece, I store mine on the tape until I have enough where I can iron a bunch in one session. Saves time, saves energy, saves parchment paper, saves board space

get used to using the lil plastic tweezers if you get them w/your supplies it's so much fuckn easier then just using your fingers just trust me bro

also I'd advise against trying to organize every single one of them by color, especially if you're getting a kit that comes with transparent AND matte beads bcs they're a BITCH to seperate. don't be like me...it's not worth it man

Always count your pattern and board lengths, seeing you have no room left for a piece after you've worked on it is worse than heartbreak lol

Once You're Done Ironing It, Place Something Heavy On Top Of It While It Cools, If You Don't, Your Piece Will Probably Warp.
