Is it weird to wear kandi if I'm not a raver?

Hello guys! I was wondering if it's weird to wear kandi if I'm not a raver. I'm a scene/emo kid and in this community it's really common to wear kandi obviously. I think it looks really cool but I'm very unsure about wearing it. I'm not a raver and I don't really like techno music. I love the community, the meaning of PLUR and the idea of trading kandi. And of course it's really fun to make it. But I am not really planning to go to a rave. I feel like when I wear kandi people will gatekeep me because I'm not a raver (even if I'm not calling myself raver)...idk I'm just very unsure :/
