/gen, /nm, /nf mean and like /pos n stuff mean? You can explain any I didn’t list too. Ik a lot of people use them and I’d like to know lol.

they are called tone tags and can let someone know what tone you are texting in ! it can be extremely helpful for anyone. it eliminates the question of "was that sarcastic or serious ?", "is this platonic or romantic ?" and other common questions. tone tag twitter thread for some more help hkheart

/gen is genuine, /nm is not mad, /nf is not forced, /pos is positive, /neg is negative, /s is sarcastic

there's a lot more but they're called tone tags/indicators and usually help people understand what you're trying to convey over text so they don't misinterpret happy
