Peyote Stitching Related Question

Can I use sewing cotton instead of elastic so my gameboy or 3D pokeball will be more stiff. The elastic i use just dosn't like peyote stitching

"KandiKittie": You can...but I wouldn't recommend it...I've used sewing cotton before and it broke really easily Its the same with the elastic I cant find any good brands and i dont think we have bead and stretch in Australia and if we do my craft shops around my town dont sell them waaah :'(
