I don't know if anyone will look at this or find it helpful but I'd just like to share that the best way I find to do large patterns with different shades or one color is to first lay down the outline and make a color pallet for it after. I set it to thew side and use the base color(s) in the middle and then have the lighter colors above it and darker below it. Like I said I don't know if anyone will find it helpful but I know I find it easier than making the colors as I go
