EDC can be pretty dangerous though it is fun. A smaller rave will be fun too though sometimes there is drugs.

raves are safe as long as you go to a sanctioned one. most raves these days all have permits to be where they are so they wont get shut down by cops, as for the drugs that is totally person to person, most do drugs but a lot of the older ravers feel like they dont need the drugs to be able to enjoy themselves but believe that it just enhances the experience is all lol but most younger kids cant enjoy raves without the use of drugs lol i think it really varries person to person on the drugs but most events are safe if you go with a friend and are not stupid, mostly if your just not stupid lol

while i've never been because i was too young it all depends are you going to a structured event like at a anime convention, a strangers or your friends. where you go determines what happens to an extent while at anime conventions from what i've heard and seen they check id because you have to be over 18 that's why i couldn't go for a while. at a random persons party anyone could get in without proper id or even a fake if there is a cause for id and you don't know who you will meet or even if the party will be safe. at your friends it might just be a small rave or full blown chaos in my opinion wait till your 18 then go to a convention rave first or a friends never go to a strangers rave first because not all raves are the same nor or all bad and some do take drugs but its all about your life choice
