Perler substitution

is there any substitution for perler beads? is there any way i can use perler patterns for kandi?

im pretty sure the only way you could possibly translate a perler pattern into kandi form is by using a ladder stitch. though i personally dont recommend it, since ladder stitch projects tend to be very flimsy if you dont use the right string. theres also a pretty big difference between pony beads and perler beads, so depending on the complexity of the pattern i dont think it’d look picture perfect anyways :-P
