Giving kandi to people and not trade anything?

xxpancake 6/13/2012 09:36 pm 1428

I have had quite a few people ask me to make them kandi and say that they woud actually buy it from me. I will not sell it, no matter the work that goes into making it, but would I be frowned upon in the kandi and rave culture to make it for my friends and not be traded anything in return? I have said that I will exchange a cuff for a new or strengthened friendship, but I feel like I'm pushing it there. Anyone have an answer? 2.gif

I always make kandi for my friends for free, even ones im not close with. I have a few restrictions though. I tell them that the pattern cant be higher han 12 rows, or the peyote cant be longer or taller than 3inches. The happy smile on their face when they recive said requested kandi ia all the reward I need big grin

I've given cuffs, 3Ds, singles, necklaces, bows, ladders, and peyotes to friends and complete strangers for nothing because they don't make kandi. I mean my 6 year old sister got into my kandi supplies and made me a 'chaos single' so I don't know why people wouldn't just want to learn since it's simple, but if you want something in return just ask for it. A new or strengthened friendship isn't too much to ask...

I don't find anything wrong with it, I personally don't give away kandi without getting anything in return, but theres nothing wrong with it at all.

I'm the only one at my school with kandi so I have to do the same thing most of the time. But, if somerone wants something big, I make them buy me the supplies and then ill make it.xD I've never sold kandi, even though everyone wants me to.

No surprise I give away kandi all the time, there's nothing wrong with it.

I don't see anything wrong with giving singles to your friends, but imo the cuff is a little too much if they're not going to give you anything in return.
