it's a webcomic! it started in 2009, and though the og comic is complete, multiple side projects and pseudo-canon continuations are still updating to this day. if you want to read it, I'd recommend using the unofficial homestuck collection, it preserves the interactive flash games and animations.

as for actual premise... well, a lot happens, but it starts with four kids playing a video game that ends the universe. there's paradoxes, aliens, time travel, alternate timelines and other various shenanigans throughout, but they're integrated well enough that it makes way more sense as you read it. give it a go!/nf
