The one layer bracelets are just called singles. Youtube was my best friend whenever I came across a pattern I am/was interested in making I would look up how to make it then after I followed their instructions, I would look up how to read the patterns and I would keep practicing it until I felt comfortable making them.

I can only make singles and cuffs. I used to know how to make peyote stitch stuff but I took a long hiatus from Kandi to pursue other hobbies so I am having to relearn how to make stuff through trial and error.

I jumped into making just a regular cuff and I made the HUGE Nyan Hello Kitty one. I guess my advice is to pick a pattern you are interested in learning and find a Youtube video that teaches you how to read the patterns and how to make them.

Tighten the string kao sick most beginners I've seen leave their string really loose and it doesn't look right

(it doesn't have to be constantly tightened while you're working, but if you're done with a row of the cuff or at a point where it's reallyy loose definitely tighten :] )
