How do you make a star based kandi beani?

You start with the star and then you circle it with 9 beads, for I think 3 rows then 7 beads for 2 rows then 5 for about a row or two and then you should be about at the crown of your head and cut it down for 3 beads for the rest of it I believe. I never start with the top I always start at the bottom and work my way up. hope this helps
