The main reason KOSA has even gotten this far is because people believe that social media is harmful toward minors, obviously, the writers of this bill dont believe that.

The main way besides calling or emailing your senators to stop this is social media, post about how social media has helped you using the hashtags 'SocialMediaSavedMe' and 'KOSAlies'. Or, if you'd like a more anonomous way of doing this, there is a website called eff.org/KOSAsurvey which is safe, i did the survey, it does ask for your name and all that but its optional.

The only reason KOSA has not passed yet is because we keep doing things to put it back.

@KONNYDRAKI: I understand your feelings about it.

But as I said. Not everyone can do things that will actively change the things. Sometimes all you can do is raise awareness and have a call to action for others.

Minors don't have the options adults do with voting and activism.

the thing is they're posting it in a way that says do this because it will contribute to kosa not going through, activism is fine and dandy but presenting that and saying "The only reason KOSA has not passed yet is because we keep doing things to put it back." just isnt true, i dont expect them to make some big changes but also dont be like guys if you do this itll help kosa not go thrugh when it ultimatley does nothing law wise

Activism is important at any age and format.

Hashtags still show support and connection to a cause that they care about.

not everyone is able to go out and change things being minors or younger.

do you actually think a hashtag on instagram will stop a bill if public opinion and people being affected stopped laws roe v wade would not have gone as long as it did and a certain somthing would still be legal. i agree kosa shoudlnt go through, its ultimatley a censorship bill however a hashtag started by a bts account is to the same effect of a black square on instagram
