If you have E6000 in the house, glue beads and toys to magnets.

You can slide beads onto split keyrings to jazz 'em up.

If you have silky cord you can make those sliding fidget bars.

ladder cuffs dont take up as much string as other cuffs, and if anything you can use yarn, ribbon, and even barb wire, it just wont be as good.

i have no idea (besides rings and shoelace beads) but a way to save string is if it doesnt need to be stretchy dont use stretchy string (stars, charms, etc). you can use whatever string you want. you can even use wire if you know how to do that.
