what ive heard in the past from people who dye their hair often -- red washes out pretty quickly, purple lasts longer (especially with purple shampoo). if you have a stylist you like/trust, you should ask them for advice for your specific hair texture/style, what type of dye would work well etc. Maybe consider going darker than your natural color if you can? Bleach is really hard on your hair from what I've heard, especially using it over and over.

But, most importantly: it's your hair and it grows back! Do what you want

ummm i rarely dye my hair but advice try to make it match what you normally wear tbh so it doesn’t stick out in a bad way or do highlights of that color you want for a subtle way
