@Joyless: its hard to explain BUT HERE KOSA uses two methods to “protect” kids, and both of them are awful. First, KOSA would pressure platforms to install filters that would wipe the net of anything deemed “inappropriate” for minors. This = instructing platforms to censor, plain and simple. its basically the worst censorship bill EVER

@Joyless: kids online “safety” law is meant to restrict access to content that could be deemed as harmful. It may sound good at first but it also will try to restrict people’s ability to see content about gay, trans, and racial diversity. It would also make it easier for children to be put in harms way via giving all their information to their parents/ legal guardians. Again, that part doesn’t sound that bad but think about how many kids only way of comfort and safety is through the internet. It could be their only way to reach out and get the help and attention they need
