is it okay to wear kandi at school?

Can I wear like a few singles and a kandi necklace? Can the necklace have like a pacifier, teething ring, or rattle on it? Does it matter how much kandi I wear? Will I get made fun of, bullied, or teased? Sorry for so many questions but I'm just wondering. Thank you to all who answer. *respect given*

Not unless you are immune to the toxic words/looks other will give you. I wore two cuffs to school one day and it was awful. Everyone I walked past smirked at me or pointed at me and whispered something to their friend. It was awful. It's just not worth it.

I started wearing kandi towards the end of this past school year (my junior year of high school) and nobody gave me negative feedback. I even made some singles for my friends. You always run the risk of being made fun of but, it's up to you to not take it to heart. Also, pacifiers might not be good since they have a connotation of drug use and most schools have rules against drug paraphernalia.

If you wear any kandi (cuffs or singles) be sure not to wear them on your writing hand; unless you're willing to change bracelets from arm to arm. The pacifier and rattle probably aren't appropriate for school, and they're more likely to make you get made fun of and/or get it taken away. happy

maybe not pacifiers of rattles.. but my friends and even strangers really seem to like my kandi, i get tons of compliments when I'm in public, just started making kanji this summer, so i don't know how it is at school, but i think people would really like it, and even ask you to make them something. it could be a huge confidence boost i think ^-^

I wore about 10-15 singles on my arm at a time. A lot of people actually liked them and wanted me to make them for them. They all wanted to read them, too. I mean, there was one teacher who was rude and sort of made fun of me but she was pretentious to begin with so it was expected. I think you should just wear them and if anyone hates on you for it, so what? You like it, you wear it. tongue

I don't see why it would be a problem to wear kandi to school unless it was distracting (like it lights up or something) or it has something inappropriate on it. I wear kandi to school a lot and none of my teachers really care. The only thing to consider is that there might be kids that will bully you but if you're happy and spreading PLUR you shouldn't care.

Ive been wearing kandi to school since 4th grade and never had a teacher try to take it away I'm going to be in 8th this year only thing that has really ever happened is people asking me to make them something which that does get a little annoying but other then that nothing is really said about it

I've never been bullied before. But I wouldn't care unless they hurt me. (Not a good sign). Other then that I wouldn't care because the teens who do that are just being immature.

"KandiGhostcat": Drug paraphernalia? Isn't that when an item is used to put drugs inside or something? Would teething rings be seen as drug paraphernalia too? I might have used the wrong term, but I've often heard that the use of pacifiers in kandi started from drugs that cause teeth grinding. Teething rings would probably be fine, but as far as school, I probably wouldn't want to have things associated with babies. Its super cute, don't get me wrong, but some people might be put off by that.
