what i find helps me to consistently work on personal projects (ie, not school, the stress of letting my grades drop makes me do schoolwork) is to set aside a specific time to do them. like, my usual rule for myself is to try to finish my schoolwork for the day by ten pm, and then from ten to eleven i can do kandi or write or whatever and then bed. having a specific time set aside to work on something helps me a bit. it obviously doesnt keep me from procrastinating entirely but at least i can be sorta productive.

what helps me actually stick to the times i set out is simply creating the habit and not beating myself up for not being perfect. i may give myself an hour to work on personal project and spend half of it on tumblr, but at least i got something done! slow and steady wins the race, doing a little every day will get the project finished eventually. plus, getting started makes you want to keep going happy

If you are ever going to sell and do commissions for cash, Make sure to price it based on how you think your art should cost. Maybe focus on Quilaty of the art, And how much time you spent on your piece.

Trying to be proactive is hard. But, you are the one who controls what you want do to. If you paying them, and you are unable to give them what they ordered, give the money back, maybe even a discount on their next order, or give them some cash back. But, Especially if they are free? You definitely don't have to do it if you dont want to. though, if your commission is free, it's called a request. What helps me with motivation with that type of stuff, Is remembering "They are going to get pissy at me if I dont do this" so that's just a tip that idk will work for others
