i may be incorrect but could metal needles scratch/damage beads? that's the only reason i can think of for metal needles being bad besides maybe the string not fitting

While metal isn't really recommended. it's what we use, we have a sewing one with a decent sized eye, and if you have struggles with getting the string in, if you have a threader, that makes things easier -Karl

:gets out ruler: my usual kandi needle is a metal yarn needle thats about 2mm wide, it fits the 1mm string i use just fine and fits through most beads I use on the regular. wider needles just dont go through the beads as easily in my experience, and ive literally broken metal needles while doing kandi so idk how sturdy plastic would be if youre aggressively pulling things tight like me (lol)

@Phosfate: youd be correct! as someone who crochets alot those big plastic ones are mainly for yarn crafts kao happy

i usually just struggle with the open string end, but sometimes i use a makeshift needle i made from bending a paperclip and it works just about the same!

@neptuneX3: I...think they're for...no, actually I have no idea what they're for. Sewing sleeves into sweaters when you've finished knitting them?

@Phosfate: i have some that i got off amazon that just barely fit through the bead cryingthey also came with bigger ones that i dont have a use for

@P1nk_Mal1bu_Barb13: Same. They're great. None of the plastic ones I've found will even go through the beads, the eyes are much too big.

@P1nk_Mal1bu_Barb13: That was suggestions and information I was told, So I just followed their advice
