Possibly the Murderbot series by Martha Wells. MB is an agender security cyborg who would really rather spend their time watching their favorite media series, but it keeps getting roped into jobs by annoying gross humans. Also available on audio.

@Crookinspine: oh, i don't think i've read that one yet lol. i'll look into it for sure. i recently just finished the 'Shatter Me' series by Tahereh Mafi. it's a dystopian as well and it's absolutely outstanding! ( i recommend it )

If you are American and have been through middle school you’ve probably already read it, but I cannot recommend The Outsiders enough.
Even years later, I still pick up the book and get captivated by the story

I have one for you...if you haven't read it already haha.

It's a series I got hooked on a couple years ago and I'm now on the last book (which is an extras type thing but still) and it's called UNWIND by Neal Shusterman. Dystopian, set in the near future, teen rebellion, and what I think is a little bonus, a gay couple in one of the side stories, lol.

There's way more I could say on it but if you're interested just look it up to get some tidbits on it.

(Oh and another one...Felix ever after, I read it for a book club thing last year in my English class, would also recommend, it's lgbt with a good amount of romance)
