@P1nk_Mal1bu_Barb13: Nana is badass. Kongming is -- there were two volumes devoted to a suspenseful parade float battle. Also if you like music manga, BECK is a must-read.

@P1nk_Mal1bu_Barb13: Poppy the flower, Nana (and her friend, Nana) are from Nana the manga/anime of the same name, and Kong Ming is the title character of Ya Boy Kongming (I can never remember if he's two words or not, sorry KM). Nana ran in Shojo Beat many years ago, but was quickly shifted to paperbacks because there is, unsurprisingly for a manga about the music industry, a lot of s*x (nothing terribly explicit, but exactly the sort of thing parents lose their dang minds over in a comic anthology for middle school girls) and some substance use. There is also an anime and at least two live action movies. Ya Boy Kongming has one finished anime season, and Volume 12 of the manga just came out in English. Kongming from The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is reborn in present day Tokyo, is helped out by an aspiring singer, and decides to conquer the music business for reasons.
