so im not sure 1000% if this is the proper answer to what youre asking but i will pick a few colours (two or 3) for the x-base cuff that does not rotate - so the bottom and top two bead-sections will be say,, blue. and the x's will be green, and the connector beads will be yellow. and then for the rotating part i do the same thing but depending on what type of cuff i am making to rotate (a 3d, a UFO, etc) ill pick different sections to do in certain colours. the x base for the rotating part will do the same way, or even just beads i have too many of one colour if im doing a ufo, since that part will be hidden, then my spikes are one colour (blue) with my connector beads a second (green), and the line of beads between connectors are teh third colour (yellow)

also if i am doing a multicolour base cuff, i make the top and bottom spikes correlate with the colour pattern on the base cuff (so if my top row of x' sar eblue iwth green connectors, i will make my spikes on top blue with green connectors. if my bottom row of x's are pink with purple connectors, i will make the spieks pink with purple connectors)

@False_g0d: yeah but this one is themed so i dont want it to look like a mess of random shades of orange

gradients, stripes, and patterns like that are good :] maybe the lighter oranges are on the base of the cuff and the darker oranges are on the bumpers and rotator, or vice versa!
