Which stitch is stiffer? multi or Square

i'm in the process of a huge project and it involves certain parts to be stiff. It doesnt have to be completely inflexible but at least not so loose, its like cloth.

Square stitch takes a lot more string and from what I understand, it's pretty stiff but depending on what you use-- multi stitches can be pretty stiff/durable too. For all of my bags/purses/backpacks, I use the multi stitch and it works Orgasmo's kandi trenchcoat was completely multi stitch if I remember correctly~
